First course Recipes - Rice
Rice with turnip – riche with cabbage

Ingredients for 4 servings:
400gr white tender turnip 170gr rice 50gr bacon butter 1/2 onion or 1 clove garlic parsley 1lt hot broth Grated parmesan cheese
Preparation:
Wash and thinly slice turnips; mince bacon with onion or garlic and little parsley and sear all with butter.
Add turnips and let cook using low heat, pour one dipper broth. Cook for 10 minutes or till tender. Pour remaining broth and when boiling add rice.
Cook till rice is tender. Before serve combine with remaining minced parsley and grated parmesan.
To prepare rice with cabbage follow same steps replacing turnips with sliced leaves of half cabbage, add minced bacon, onion or garlic, parsley, 200gr peeled and minced red tomatoes.
