Desserts Recipes - Tea cakes, biscuits
Cavallucci di Siena

Ingredients:
300gr white flour
300gr sugar
300gr walnut kernels
50gr candied orange skin
15gr anise
5gr cinnamon

Preparation:
Mince not so thinly walnuts and dice orange skin.
In a medium pan cook sugar with 100gr water, stir till water is almost evaporated and add all other ingredients.

Mix well and pour dough on a wooden surface. Knead well till dough is firm and smooth, if necessary add some flour.

Divide in small pieces and make cavalluci giving dough an oval shape.
Sprinkle with flour and arrange cavallucci on a oven pan. Cook using medium heat.
