Ingredients:
For dough:
250gr flour
1 egg
30gr melted butter (in double sauce pan)
Salt
For stuffing:
2kg apples
100gr raisin
50gr pine kernels
Cinnamon powder
1 grated lemon skin
100gr sugar
100gr) grated bread (seared in butter
Powdered sugar
Butter
Preparation:
Sieve flour on a wooden surface and combine with egg, butter and a pinch salt.
Mix till dough is firm than knead energetically until dough results uniform and elastic.
Shape a ball and set aside.
In the meanwhile peel apples and slice thinly.
Roll a thin sheet of dough and arrange it over a clean and floured dishcloth.
Place your hands under the towel and pull dough from centre to large and long sides trying to make dough larger and thinner, don’t brake dough.
Place dough and dishcloth on the table, sprinkle 2/3 of dough with grated bread, arrange apple slices, sugar, abundant cinnamon powder, lemon skin, raisin and pine kernels.
Roll dough on it self beginning from filling side, help your self with dishcloth. Arrange strudel on a greased oven pan (greased with melted butter).
Spread surface with small butter flakes and bake in 220°C oven for 45/50 minutes.
Before serving sprinkle with powdered sugar.
