Ingredients for 8 servings:
500gr white flour 100gr sugar 100gr olive oil 2 egg yolks 2 whole eggs Lukewarm milk Sugar A pinch salt Oil to grease pan
Preparation:
Sieve flour on a wooden surface, make a hole in the middle and pour salt, sugar, oil and 2 yolks in.
Knead all and add very little milk per time, till dough is firm and elastic. Divide a small piece of dough and set it aside.
Divide the remaining dough in 3 pieces, shape as cylinders identical in length and whidth. Cross them making a plait.
Fold two plait’s sides creating a ring, press the folding point with an egg with eggshell. Fix egg with crossing strips of remaining dough.
Beat one egg and one tbs sugar, with this mixture “paint” ring-shape cake and arrange it on a greased oven pan.
Bake in 230°C oven for 30 minutes.
