Caffè alla Valdostana

Ingredients for 4 servings:
4 cups hot espresso 2 small glasses grappa 1 small glass red wine 1 lemon skin Sugar
Preparation:
Prepare espresso, pour grappa, red wine, sugar, lemon skin and serve very hot in the typical “grolla” from Val d’Aosta with many “mouths”
Near a light match to each mouths, a light blue flame will burn alcohol. Light it off.
If you don’t have “grolla”: pour ingredients in a copper pot over a warmer stove placed in the centre of table. Stir with a small spoon.
When it boils light it up, fill in the small deeper and pour it form high. Light off the flame and serve coffee in small cups with edges sprinkled with sugar.
